Hosted Events and Seminars
We organize two events, the San Diego Bioinformatics Network and the Bioinformatics Seminar Series. The San Diego Bioinformatics Network is bi-annual networking event with the goal of creating a dynamic environment where faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, industry leaders and anyone in the San Diego bioinformatics community can connect and exchange ideas. The Bioinformatics Seminar Series is a monthly lunch featuring local bioinformaticians discussing their tools, research, software, coding, and more.
The Center for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics occasionally offers year-round internship opportunities for UC San Diego’s engineering, computer science and bioinformatics undergraduate students. Opportunities are posted on aip.ucsd.edu, please be prepared to submit a cover letter, unofficial transcript, CV or resume, and a coding example (such as a github repository).
